Attendees accessed more than 15 hours of content covering a wide array of anti-trafficking and trafficking survivor-related topics. This expert content will remain available and accessible to the public from now through the next 18 months.
It includes an inspiring keynote address from University of Florida football great and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. Tebow established the Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010 to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. The Foundation works to put an end to human trafficking, as well as other initiatives designed to make the lives of children better. We are grateful for Tebow’s participation in our Summit and all he does through his foundation to end human trafficking.

It is amazing how people came together quickly to ensure the Summit would go on in the face of a pandemic. COVID-19 may have changed our Summit format, but no obstacle will ever lessen our resolve to end human trafficking and rescue survivors from the abuse and torture they experience at the hands of those who would profit from their misery.
By coming together like this and working to end human trafficking, we will build a Stronger, Safer Florida.

Attorney General Moody Takes Court Action to Stop A/C Company Ripping Off Florida Seniors
Attorney General Ashley Moody announced a court action against Fosters Air Supplies & Technical Services d/b/a Fast AC SWFL, and its principal Matthew Foster. According to an investigation by Attorney General Moody’s Consumer Protection Division, Fast AC deceived consumers, many of whom were seniors—some suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia. The investigation uncovered that Fast AC representatives allegedly presented customers high-priced quotes for unnecessary services or unneeded replacement of air conditioning systems or parts.Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “My office is filing this action to stop what we believe is a business that targets our seniors—some of the most vulnerable among us—with high prices for unnecessary services. As your Attorney General, I have made it my mission to protect Florida’s seniors from these types of unscrupulous sales tactics. Attorney General Moody Obtains Judgment Resolving Community Health Systems Data Breach Investigation
Attorney General Ashley Moody, along with 27 other state attorneys general, obtained a judgment against Tennessee-based Community Health Systems, Inc., and its subsidiary, CHSPSC LLC. This judgment resolves an investigation of a data breach that impacted approximately 6.1 million patients, including more than 430,000 from the state of Florida.At the time of the data breach, CHS owned, leased or operated 206 affiliated hospitals, including 37 located in Florida. Information exposed in the breach included the addresses, birthdates, names, phone numbers and Social Security numbers of patients. The judgment, agreed to by CHS, requires a $5 million payment to the states and provides that CHS agrees to implement and maintain a comprehensive information security program reasonably designed to safeguard personal information and protected health information that will include specific information security requirements.
Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “Health care patients are routinely asked to reveal personal information in the course of treatment. The added stress surrounding a data breach exposing personal information can be overwhelming. I’m glad we were able to provide relief to the more than 430,000 Floridians impacted by the negligent actions of this health care company.” Read More
