My husband is a law enforcement officer and I love spending time with Floridians who choose a life committed to serving others and upholding the rule of law. These courageous individuals work tirelessly to protect us, and it is important, now more than ever, to lift them up and give them our undivided support.
I launched the Thin Line Tribute in May after a devastating year for law enforcement officers—both due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent increase in felonious acts against officers. Our officers do so much for us every day, and we should all show our appreciation and support for these brave Floridians.

Florida Fights Back Against Fentanyl Traffickers: Brother and Sister Drug Trafficking Duo Convicted for Selling Fentanyl
Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution secured convictions against a sibling drug trafficking duo. The defendants faced charges for selling and distributing heroin and fentanyl throughout Central Florida. The convictions come following an investigation into Hector Mojica Phipps’ drug trafficking operation involving his sister, Dilcia Mojica Phipps, serving as a proxy while Hector was out of town. Fentanyl is a highly lethal opioid and is increasing in the drug supply throughout Florida—exacerbating the opioid crisis. Nearly 21 people in Florida die each day from opioid abuse.
Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “This sibling drug trafficking team sold heroin and fentanyl, two key drugs at the heart of the nation’s opioid crisis—disgraceful. Thankfully, my Statewide Prosecutors, working with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, dismantled their operation, and these poison pushers will harm Floridians no more.
