Solicitor General - Externship Program
Externship Program
The Solicitor General is currently reviewing possible externship opportunities to be offered in the future. In the past, students participating in the externship program worked directly with the Solicitor General on pending cases. The externship offered an opportunity to (i) develop a better understanding of the role of the Solicitor General in state government and litigation involving the State of Florida; (ii) gain practical experience in appellate level litigation, legal research, analysis and brief writing, and preparation for oral argument; and (iii) further the extern’s knowledge of federal and state constitutional law and appellate procedures. Students could receive up to six (6) hours of course credit for the externship.
