The Bureau of Advocacy and Grants Management provides regional victim advocacy and appellate notification to victims of crime and administers the federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) assistance grants. As part of the outreach and clearinghouse functions, the bureau maintains a directory of victim service providers and maintains the Adult and Child Sexual Assault Protocols: Initial Forensic Physical Examination.

Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Assistance Grants
The federal VOCA assistance grants program offers funding to eligible public and private nonprofit organizations for use in responding to the emotional and physical needs of crime victims, assisting victims with stabilization, helping victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system and providing victims with a measure of safety and security.
