VIDEO: On National App Day, AG Moody Encourages Floridians to Help Combat Crime by Using the Florida Crime Stoppers App
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—On National App Day, Attorney General Moody is encouraging Floridians to use the Florida Crime Stoppers App to help law enforcement combat crime. This free, easy-to-use app allows individuals to anonymously submit tips about crime incidents or unsolved cases. From November 1, 2023, through October 1, 2024, the Crime Stoppers app received 3,386 tips.
Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “On National App Day, I’m encouraging Floridians to help law enforcement combat crime by downloading the Florida Crime Stoppers App. This public-safety tool allows users to provide tips about unsolved cases anonymously — no names, no personal details — just the information that law enforcement needs to advance investigations and protect the community. Tipsters who provide information through the app that helps law enforcement make an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.”
The Florida Crime Stoppers App allows Floridians to report crime anonymously across the state. After downloading the app, users can scroll through a list of cities, counties and areas to find their location. Next, individuals select the crime and provide information about the suspect and offense. If the tip leads to an arrest, tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.
Report tips in the Florida Crime Stoppers App or dial **TIPS. The app is available for download on the Apple App Store for Apple users and on Google Play for Android users. Simply search "Florida Crime Stoppers" in the app store, or download the app from the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers website.
For emergencies, dial 911.
