Process for Handling Individual and Business Claims
If you are considering a quick or final payment please read this notice regarding the release from future recoveries.
Beginning November 24, 2010, the Gulf Coast Claims Facility ("GCCF") will no longer accept claims for Emergency Advance Payment. Individuals and businesses may, however, make Interim Claims and / or a Final Claim to the GCCF through August 23, 2013, and then to BP as required. You may submit a claim for Interim or Final Payment even if your application for an Emergency Advance Payment was denied.

Individual and Business Claims
1. A Claim Form can be obtained as follows:
- Through the Website: www.GulfCoastClaimsFacility.com
- By Telephone: 1-800-916-4893. TTY: 1-866-682-1758 available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You will be asked for your name and address. The GCCF will mail a Claim Form for you to fill out and sign. Then you can submit your Claim Form and supporting documents in one of these ways:

A Claims Evaluator will help you fill out the form.
2. The GCCF will confirm receipt of your claim and provide a unique Claimant Identification Number that will be your claim number for use going forward. If the GCCF finds your claim to be incomplete, the GCCF will notify you by e-mail or by U.S. Mail and will tell you what further documentation you will need to provide for the GCCF to complete the evaluation and processing of your claim.
3. The GCCF will process your claim for costs, monetary losses, or damages, as submitted on your Claim Form. You will receive written notice regarding any action taken on your claim, including approved amounts, deficiencies, requests for additional documentation, and denied claims.
4. Payment will be made by check or wire transfer, as selected by you on the Claim Form.
5. If you are not satisfied with the GCCF's resolution of your claim, if your claim has been denied, or if your claim has been pending for more than 90 days, you may wish to contact or file a claim with the National Pollution Funds Center at 1-800-280-7118 or through their website: http://www.uscg.mil/npfc/claims/.
