Protecting Floridians is a high calling. It is a challenge I am humbled and honored to face head on. We enjoyed some major victories during the last four years—defending Florida from federal overreach, taking on Big Tech to protect children and securing billions of dollars in relief for consumers.
I am proud to report that Florida TaxWatch named us the 2022 State Agency of the Year. We also received national recognition for our efforts to stop moving scams.
Other highlights from the hard-working public servants in the Florida Attorney General’s Office include:
- Securing more than $3 billion through our historic litigation holding major opioid manufacturers, distributors and pharmacies accountable for their roles in the opioid crisis;
- Recovering more than $535 million through our Consumer Protection Division;
- Obtaining more than $173 million in settlements and judgments through our Medicaid Fraud Control Unit; and
- Winning more than $230 million as a result of our antitrust litigation efforts.

Attorney General Moody Takes Biden to Federal Court to Answer for His Unlawful Immigration Policies Creating Chaos at the SW Border
In just a few days, Attorney General Ashley Moody’s team of attorneys will be taking the Biden administration to court over unlawful immigration policies. Through months of intense discovery, lawyers for Florida uncovered evidence of Biden ignoring public-safety immigration laws allowing more than 1 million unvetted, inadmissible immigrants into the interior. AG Moody Urges President Biden to Demand Action from President Obrador to Combat the Fentanyl Crisis During Trip to Mexico City
Attorney General Ashley Moody is demanding that President Joe Biden confront Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on the fentanyl crisis during next week's meeting in Mexico City. Biden failed to demand accountability and cooperation during previous meetings with both Obrador and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Mexico and China both play tremendous roles in the growing fentanyl crisis claiming record numbers of American lives every year. In a letter, Attorney General Moody is demanding that Biden use next week’s meeting to correct course and fight for the American people.Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “President Biden must not squander this opportunity to demand accountability from Mexico for its role in the deadly fentanyl crisis that is claiming record numbers of American lives. Attorney General Moody Announces Arrest of Guardian Who Stole More Than $12,000 from Disabled Adult
Attorney General Ashley Moody announced the arrest of a woman for stealing more than $12,000 from a disabled adult. According to an investigation by Attorney General Moody’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Jessica Lyn Duvall served as the victim’s primary guardian before a new guardian was appointed. Duvall collected the victim’s Social Security funds and spent the money on personal items instead of paying for the victim’s care.
Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “This so-called guardian used her position of trust and authority to steal thousands of dollars from a disabled Floridian. Thankfully, my Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigators stopped this fraud, and the suspect will now have to answer for her crimes.” Read More
