Attorney General James Uthmeier Announces 35-Year Prison Sentence for Pedophile in Possession of Child Pornography
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Statewide Prosecutors secured a 35-year prison sentence for a man convicted on multiple child pornography charges. Frankie Pineiro Jr. bought and exchanged hundreds of digital files containing images and videos of juveniles involved in sex acts.
“Possessing and promoting child pornography is vile and has absolutely no place in our state,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Thanks to our law enforcement partners and our Statewide Prosecutors, this disgusting predator will serve decades behind bars.”
In September 2024, as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents conducted a search warrant of Pineiro’s residence. Pineiro admitted to authorities that he purchased links to download files depicting child pornography to a cellular device. Statewide Prosecutors first charged Pineiro with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
After further analysis of Pineiro’s cellphone, authorities located additional evidence of accessing and sending CSAM. Attorney General Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution charged Pineiro with an additional 15 counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of promotion of child pornography and three counts of failure to register an online identifier.
Pineiro pled guilty to these charges and will serve 35 years in prison.
Attorney General Uthmeier’s OSP handled the case.
