Combating the National Opioid Crisis
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, The Florida Attorney General's Office filed an action in state court against some of the nation’s largest opioid manufacturers and distributors for their role in the opioid crisis. The complaint names as defendants the major opioid manufacturers, Purdue Pharma L.P., Endo Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Cephalon, Inc., Allergan plc, Mallinckrodt LLC, and related companies, as well as the major opioid distributors, AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation, Cardinal Health, Inc., McKesson Corporation, and related company.
On Nov. 16, 2018, The Office filed an amended complaint in the ongoing court action.
